报道了用花生酸生长的LB膜作液晶取向层,使负性向列相液晶MBBA在其上取得较好的垂直取向排列效果。并通过偏光显微镜利用锥光干涉效应,研究了这种取向排列.研究表明,在加电压后液晶受电场作用偏转具有一定的择优取向,取向方向与LB膜的生长提拉方向平行。同时,对其电光特性进行了测量。从测量显示出的典型电控双折射形电光特性曲线肯定了择优倾斜取向的存在。
The LB film with arachidic acid is reported as the liquid crystal alignment layer to make the negative nematic liquid crystal MBBA obtain the better vertical alignment effect. The orientation alignment was studied by the use of a cone-beam interference effect with a polarizing microscope. The research shows that the liquid crystal has some preferred orientation after the voltage is applied and the orientation direction of the liquid crystal is parallel to the growth pulling direction of the LB film. At the same time, its electro-optical properties were measured. The existence of a preferred tilt orientation is confirmed by the typical electrically controlled birefringence electro-optic characteristic curves shown by the measurements.
