全球变暖日益严重,生产优质的葡萄酒越来越难。时间是1979年,西班牙酿酒师米格尔·托雷斯被父亲派到了遥远的智利。当时,南美出产的葡萄酒还没有得到世人的认可,但老托雷斯在智利投资酒庄的举动可谓未雨绸缪:在西班牙内战中,托雷斯家的酒庄数次被军方占领并遭到轰炸。经历过此番劫难的老托雷斯认为,在南美开辟葡萄园和酒厂不仅气候适宜,而且能够避免国内可能发生的动荡。
As global warming worsens, it is harder and harder to produce quality wines. The time was 1979, when Spanish winemaker Miguel Torres was sent by his father to distant Chile. At that time, the wine produced in South America has not been recognized by the world, but the old Torres investment in the Chilean winery move can be described as a precautionary measure: In the Spanish Civil War, Torres’s estate was occupied several times by the military and was bombed. The old Torres, who experienced this catastrophe, believes that opening up vineyards and wineries in South America is not only suitable for the climate, but also avoids the possible turmoil in the country.
