The authors studied the intensity of pronunciation of 19 cases of cochlear implants candidates, both of whom had severe acquired deafness. The first use of objective data shows that these patients compared with normal listening male speaker, pronounced intensity increased significantly; sound intensity fluctuations increased significantly.
