  The COVID-19 will eventually come to an end, but the impact on social economy will continue. What kind of pattern will China’s manufacturing digital development face in the post-pandemic era?
  ● The flexible production and digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises from the perspective of mask production.
  Faced with the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, masks became a scarce supply on the market for a while. Most companies that can produce masks in special periods have automated and digitalized production lines in order to avoid the spread of the pandemic caused by the accumulation of personnel while resuming production.
  ● The smart manufacturing trend led by smart factories from the perspective of enterprise resumption.
  In order to cope with the problems of labor shortage, weak offline demand, broken supply chain and tight capital chain caused by the pandemic, the Industrial Internet will give full play to its technological advantages, connect downstream demand and upstream supply, help companies accurately connect with customers, realize the online office of enterprise employees through remote collaboration, and help companies find key development directions based on predictions of market changes, as well as relying on the platform to connect the investors and the enterprise to ease funding constraints.
  ● The pandemic is a crisis in the industry, and digital transformation is an opportunity for enterprises.
  The advent of the pandemic has caused many Chinese manufacturing companies to face the dilemma of being forced to stop production, and the development of global manufacturing will not stagnate due to any regional shutdown. Facing the potential crisis of capacity replacement, domestic manufacturers are required to respond to changes in the international situation with a more forward-looking layout to ensure that China’s manufacturing industry continues to maintain its unique advantage in international competition.
  Facing such a situation, accelerating the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry is the best medicine for companies to save themselves. Suggestions on digital transformation of enterprises:
  ● Clear awareness of digital transformation.
  Digital transformation is not a simple machine replacement, nor is it a simple communication technology transformation, but to form a comprehensive collaboration of software and hardware in the factory, truly digital, online, and open the full data chain within the enterprise.
  ● Accelerate the next-generation of information technology.
  The application of next-generation information technology in manufacturing is not only the automation of production lines, but also in the areas of enterprise management, remote collaboration, and even online conferences should be accelerated.
  ● Promote digital twin and virtual production as the starting point to clarify the path of digital transformation for manufacturing enterprises.
