Until 1991, during the great part of the Cold War between the East and the West, there were two countries in the world where the social system and life style stood against each other: the Federal Republic of Germany (the Federal Republic of Germany or the West Germany) and the German Democratic Republic Or East Germany). As two important participants in the global cold war, Germany and Germany have profoundly affected this process of striving for popular support.
