Twenty-five patients with unilateral tinnitus and 40 normal hearing-free patients with tinnitus were subjected to auditory-magnetic field (AEF) measurements to study whether magnetic resonance imaging signals tinnitus interference. Tone stimulation parameters of AEF response: carrier frequency 1000Hz, time 500ms, rise / recession time 15ms, stimulation interval 4s, intensity 60dBHL. The AEF was recorded on the contralateral hemisphere of the stimulus while EEG was recorded between the head and the contralateral earlobe.
