英语教育的根本目的就是培养和发展学生的英语素质.英语素质也就是学生运用英语进行交际的能力,在国际化、信息化社会中获得信息和处理信息的能力.在教学中,应通过开展一系列的活动,使文化意识的培养成为整个教学活动的组成部分,让学生能根据具体的语言环境讲出合适而得体的话语,让学生的语言能力更有效地转变为交际能力.因此,在实施英语素质教育的过程中,加强对学生文化意识培养是十分必要的.
