On January 7 and 9, 2015, the assassination of Charlie Hebdo, the caricature in Paris, and the subsequent hostage takeover at the Kasch supermarket, greatly shocked French public opinion. The notion of “conspiracy theory” is immediately available in the major media to analyze why the above-mentioned incident was denounced as “an act of under-the-counter” and to explain the widespread mistrust of certain details of the incident. This article aims to analyze the use of the term “conspiracy theory” by the media and officials in the episode “Panic anti-conspiracy theory” after the Paris shootings; this study helps us to explore the concept of “conspiracy theory” Its own meaning, including both its definition, but also its inspiration.
