西北师范大学是一所历史长久的综合性高等师范院校,它成立于1939年,原名西北师范学院。该校在建校之初就设有图画劳作科,这就是现在美术系的前身。1950年学校在图画劳作科的基础上正式成立艺术系,下设美术、音乐二科。著名油画家吕斯百先生从1951年起一直任系主任到1958年夏。他为该系的创立与发展作出了卓越的贡献,他是西北高师美术教育的拓荒者和奠基人之一。 1958年兰州艺术学院成立,常书鸿任院长,艺术系并入该院,并正式成立美术系。到1962年该院停办时美术系又回西北师院。在短短的四年中,美术
Northwest Normal University is a long history of comprehensive higher normal colleges and universities, which was founded in 1939, formerly known as Northwest Normal University. The school set up at the beginning of the school has drawing and art division, which is now the predecessor of the Department of Fine Arts. In 1950, the school formally established the Department of Fine Arts on the basis of the drawing and art department, which consists of two departments: art and music. Well-known oil painter Mr. Lusi Bai from 1951 has served as department director until the summer of 1958. He made outstanding contributions to the establishment and development of the department. He is one of the pioneers and founders of fine arts education in Northwest Normal University. 1958 Lanzhou Institute of the Arts was established, Chang Shuhong Ren Dean, Department of the Arts incorporated into the hospital, and the formal establishment of the Department of Fine Arts. By 1962, when the hospital was closed, the art department returned to the Northwest Normal University. In just four years, art
