This study was designed to investigate the changes of corticotropin (cAMP) and adrenocorticotropic hormone (cAMP) in the hypothalamus of newborn and embryonic rat in simulated hypoxia. The results showed that 5 km above sea level inhibited the development of hypothalamic CRF. When developed to 25 days and 30 days, the CRF contents were 64.8% and 57.9% of the control group, respectively. At this point, the weights were 47.8% and 52.9%, respectively. At 30 days, cAMP was 20.8%. The study also showed that at 7km altitude, it is difficult for pregnant rats to complete normal pregnancy and fetal development. At 5km altitude, the content of CRF in embryonic brain is higher than that of the control.
