Chapter teaching is an important part of English majors’ comprehensive English teaching. Applying the means of lexical cohesion in the teaching of comprehensive English texts is to guide students to use the means of lexical coherence to appreciate the texts. This article explores the relationship between comprehensive English textbook teaching and lexical cohesion, the specific means of lexical cohesion, and the combination of phrases in integrated English lexicon to talk about how to incorporate lexical cohesion into the text appreciation. Teachers should actively guide students to use the vocabulary cohesion means to appreciate the chapter, so as to improve the ability of reading comprehension and writing level.
