世界的热闹看美国,美国的热闹看纽约,纽约的热闹看时代广场。而最能体现美国人民看热闹精神的活动,当之无愧的是纽约的新年夜。时代广场的新年夜,按照不爱凑热闹的人的说法,大约就是一群人傻乎乎地从下午就开始占位,在寒风中靠相互偎依取暖。百万人忍饥挨饿等到半夜,就为了最后疯狂地倒数计时,当计数清零的时候,时代广场顶上的大苹果缓缓落下,人们又开始疯狂地欢呼、跳跃、接吻,迎接新的一年到来。
