The International Air Transport Association (IATA) recently estimated that by 2036 global air passenger traffic will reach 7.8 billion passengers, which is nearly double the passenger traffic this year (4 billion passengers). IATA pointed out in the ”Forecast Report on Aviation Passenger Transport for the Next 20 Years“ that the average annual CAGR of passenger demand will reach 3.6%.
