Helen Garner (1942-) Among the many female writers in Australia, he is a writer with a unique personality, a unique reputation and a unique meaning. After the rise of the Australian literary world, she has been attracting the attention of readers and critics for 30 years and has enjoyed a reputation in Australian feminist culture and literature. Ghana’s creative experience is divided into two stages before and after, with 1995 as a watershed. Prior to 1995, she was the author of novels and scripts; later, she wrote mainly non-fictional reportage and prose. Her major fiction and novel collections include: Monkey Grip (1977), The Children’s Bach (1984), Cosmo Cosmolino (1992) and “My Hard Heart: Selected Fiction” (1998), “The Spare Room” (2008). Major scripts include Two Friends (1986) and The Last Days Of Chez Nous (1992). Non-fiction works include The Feel of Steel (2001) and Joe Cinque’s Consolation (2004). Ghana has won several Australian literature awards. During my visit to Melbourne University, I interviewed Ghana twice in 2007 and 2008 respectively. The following is the second conversation.
