在英汉互译时我们往往发现很多语气词难以翻译,而语气词翻译的缺失会直接导致句子或篇章言语情感表达的缺失,特别是在生活口译中。基于笔者的翻译经历,以及在MTI翻译活动中的一些调查发现,90%的人在翻译时会出现语气词的缺失问题。本文就常见的英语语气词在不同情境中的翻译、英语语气词汉译意义与原汉语语气词意义对等探究及语气词的翻译策略进行了简单的论述。希望借此对以后的翻译活动带来帮助。
In the mutual translation of English and Chinese, we often find that many modal particles are difficult to translate, and the absence of modal word translation will directly lead to the lack of emotional expression of sentences and discourse, especially in life interpretation. Based on the author’s translation experience and some surveys in MTI translation activities, it is found that 90% of people have the problem of lack of modal expression when translating. This article briefly discusses the common translation of English modal particles in different contexts, the meaning translation of the English modal particles, the equivalence of the original Chinese modal particles and the translation strategies of the modal particles. I hope to bring help to future translation activities.
