光学测试技术应用面很广,它可以用于完成:对光学量本身的测定如光波的速度、频率、位相、光度、色度、光谱等测量;介质的光学常数测量;光学工业中对光学玻璃、透镜、反射镜、棱镜和光学系统各参数和性能的测试;还可以用于测定长度、角变、形状、变形、振动、温度、速度、加速度等。因此,光学测试技术广泛地应用于天文、气象、地理、生物、医学等学科中,也广泛地应用于工业和国防科学技术中。
