刘震云的《新兵连》是当代军旅文学世俗化、平民化转向的标志性作品。但在中国当代文学史整体建构与当代军旅文学史叙述中,这部作品并未获得应有的重视。这一方面源于刘震云后来的《一地鸡毛》等作品更具影响,更多吸引了地方学者的注意;另一方面则因为军旅文学研究者偏重于对这部作品的定性研究,在具体分析上未曾着力。事实上,《新兵连》不但是“农家军歌”的开先河之作,完成了真正的视点下沉,而且因对“人的异化”问题的关注,具有了超越一般意义上的军旅题材作品的广阔视域、普世价值和普泛意义。
