Generally believed that free radical (free radical, FR) reaction occurred in the ischemic area. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether FR-response enhancement in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) occurs only in the ischemic region of the myocardium and whether it is associated with stress induced by AMI. Healthy SD female rats were divided into two groups: Infarction group (MI group, n = 15). The ligation of left main coronary artery resulted in MI. Sham operation control group (SC group, n = 8) was perfused but not ligated in the corresponding part of coronary artery. Two groups were drawn 2h after surgery.
