This paper comprehensively discusses the basic principles of the converter-type directional control, such as balance conditions and performance parameters. Proposed and defined geometric direction, the actual direction, the conversion coefficient of balance and so on. Export a more complete indication of pressure formula. The multi-tube collimation converter developed in detail is described in detail, and some novel and unique experimental schemes are used to study the performance of the directional control. The developed directional control has the advantages of simple and compact structure, high directivity, fast response, good quantification and convenient application. It is a powerful tool to study non-equilibrium molecular flow.
