近日,闲来翻看清人钱泳《履园丛话》,读到一则关于沈百五的故事。沈百五是明末崇明人。一次,他在一个客舍偶遇洪承畴。当时洪承畴只是个十二三岁的小孩子,虽然穷困潦倒,却相貌不凡,谈吐不俗。沈百五颇有识人之才,认定洪承畴将来必为国家栋梁之材,遂邀洪承畴到自己家中,不仅为他提供衣食住所,还请自己的父亲做洪承畴的老师。洪承畴非常感动,尊称沈百五为伯父。
