1991年7月,浙江省安吉县安城镇古城村农民周水琴,在古城东城墙外侧劳动时,于距地表一米左右处挖出楚金币一方(图一),县博物馆得知后即赴现场调查,并征集入馆。金币略呈方形,边长1.7、厚0.3厘米,重10.4克。四边仅左边为原铸,其余均见切割痕,币面铃“郢爰”二字阴文方印,郢字“呈”部稍缺。此金币与1979年8月9日安徽省寿县东津公社花园大队出土的楚郢爰相似,有
