“麦西热甫”是一种包含有各类表演的民俗娱乐活动,是维吾尔人民文化生活的重要组成部分。据资料和考古发现得知,类似现今麦西热甫的“集会性”活动曾长期存在于西域各民族的生活中,这很可能是麦西热甫活动的前身。笔者认为,麦西热甫的源头应发生于西域古时“集会”、“聚会”性的活动中,自两汉时期始至伊斯兰教传入,西域地区的“集会性”活动主要出现于以萨满信仰为主的宗教活动这一场合中。 “Mai Ge Ge Fu ” is a kind of folk entertainment that contains various performances, is an important part of the cultural life of the Uighur people.
