《浦东县志》问世于1960年10月,是上海地区第一部社会主义新方志。其志编修思想与编写原则具有鲜明的时代特点:横列纵记的体例,序言、地图、表、录、志、后记皆备,志为主体;其编修实践、理论研究、人物事迹简介等具有探析价值,其资料翔实系统具有历史认识价值;其志亦为上海新方志的编修工作打下良好基础。
“Pudong County” came out in October 1960, is Shanghai’s first new socialist chronicles. The principles of compiling and editing his mind have distinctive characteristics of the times: the style, prologue, map, table, record, ambition and epilogue of Chronicle are all prepared and recorded as the main part; their compilation practice, theoretical research, brief introduction of character deeds etc It has the value of inquiry, and its information is informative and has historical value. The book also lays a good foundation for the compilation of Shanghai New Records.
