2008年9月,山西省临汾市襄汾县新塔矿业有限公司尾矿库发生特别重大溃坝事故。这个尾矿库总库容约30万立方米,坝高50米。溃坝造成尾砂流失量20万立方米,沿途带出大量泥沙,流经长度达2千米,过泥面积30.2公顷。事故造成254人死亡,34人受伤。发生事故的主要原因是:企业违法违规生产和建库,隐患排查治理走过场,安全整改指令不落实,当地政府及有关部门监督管理不
