2005年底,中国乒乓球队在公平、公正、透明、择优的原则下,首次进行了主教练公开竞聘。作为一名年轻教练,承蒙组织和同行的关爱与信任,我得以继续主持中国乒乓男队工作,并组成了新一周期的教练班子。新教练班子的执教理念是:团结、实干、创新、低调、奥运为先。从竞聘组队至今已有近一年,工作压力是巨大的,过程是艰苦的,内容是丰富的,体会是深刻的,教训是宝贵的。这期间,不来梅世乒赛是我们备战08奥运的第二战役,是男队新班子的处子之战,意义至关重要。通过全队的艰苦训练和奋力拼搏,最终如愿以偿地蝉联了份量最重的团体金牌,又一次囊括了48届世乒赛所有项目的冠军,圆满地完成了领导交给我们的“中考”任务。
