当柴油机的外界负荷大于柴油机输出的有效扭矩时,柴油机将处于超负荷或超载状态。超负荷情况下柴油机所发挥的功率虽然低于标定功率,但柴油机各部位却承受超过正常工作或设计所允许的热力载荷,发动机长期负荷作业是十分不利的,主要因为:1.超负荷作业时,排气管冒浓烟,产生大量积炭,同时,发动机温度升高,润滑条件变差,加剧柴油机老化和零件磨损。2.超负荷作业时,调速器不起作用,发动机转速急剧下降,油耗增加,功率下降。
