基于对科学教育标准的研制,美国于2013年5月正式颁布《新一代K-12科学教育标准》,为所有学生提供了具有国际化基准的科学教育.该《标准》提出科学教育要聚焦于有限的核心概念,以学科核心概念的学习进阶为主线,强调核心概念学习的重要性,对于我国中学物理学核心概念的界定,课堂围绕有效问题建构核心概念,以及从核心问题出发,开发教学设计,具有重要的启示作用.
