剑桥商务英语证书(Cambridge Business EnglishCertificate,简称BEC)考试,是英国剑桥大学考试委员会(University of Cambridge Local ExaminationSyndicate,简称UCLES)和中国教育部考试中心联合主办的英语水平考试。它是根据英语为非母语国家的人员进行国际商务活动的需要而设计的,主要检测认定考生运用英语语言的能力。BEC是一个全球化的考试,在全球60多个国家举办,有全球统一的考试标准。该项考试在欧美许多国家被广泛承认,我国大多数外企、商社和涉外单位也认可,是招聘雇员优先录用的主要条件之一。BEC是就业领域中权威的英语能力证明。由于BEC考试机构——英国剑桥大学考试委员会考试的科学性、权威性,入世以来,BEC成为求学者和白领一族选读英语的热点,报名量日渐攀升。近日,记者采访了英国剑桥大学BEC/MSE考试华东地区口试考官组长、上海外国语大学英语学院陈汉生教授。
Cambridge Business English Certificate (Cambridge Business EnglishCertificate, BEC) test, the British University of Cambridge Examination Board (University of Cambridge Local ExaminationSyndicate, referred to as UCLES) and the Chinese Ministry of Education Examination Center jointly sponsored English proficiency test. Designed to meet the needs of English-speaking non-native speakers of international business activities, it primarily tests the candidate’s ability to use the English language. BEC is a global exam, held in more than 60 countries around the world, with globally standardized test standards. The examination is widely recognized in many countries in Europe and the United States. Most foreign enterprises, trading companies and foreign-related agencies in China recognize this as one of the major conditions for the hiring of employees. BEC is an authoritative proof of English proficiency in the field of employment. Due to the scientific and authoritative examination of the BEC examination institution - Cambridge University Examinations Committee, BEC has become a hot spot for scholars and white-collar workers to choose English since the accession to the WTO, and their enrollments are on the rise.
