The CPU market has been in a state of discomfort. The competition between AMD and Intel’s two major CPU manufacturers has been one after another. They have been fighting from the low-end market to the high-end market, competing in the CPU’s price, performance and frequency. Since AMD launched the K7 series, this competition has become even more intense. The birth of K7 is due to the competition in the low-end market. The competition in the low-end market is mainly concentrated in AMD’s K6 and K6-2 and Intel’s Celeron series. In 1998, the emergence of its K6 and K6-2 disrupted Intel’s Positions, and the market share is also rising. In China, Intel’s market share fell from 86.7% in the year to 56.5%. This fully demonstrates that AMD’s products have been recognized by the market, coupled with its low price, has been welcomed by many consumers.
