中国电信获得CDMA2000经营资质后,大量专家建议其开发FMC业务,向客户提供差异化服务。但日本的NTT西2005年4月曾进行FMC商用试验,仅一年半时间,运营就宣告失败。2008年6月2日,NTT集团推出了FMC业务,再次进行该业务的尝试。这说明,FMC业务虽被业界认可,但融合是否成功,关键在于市场能否接受它。作为全球最大的CDMA运营商和国内最大的固网运营商,中国电信推进FMC业务要慎之又慎。
After China Telecom won the CDMA2000 qualification, a large number of experts suggested that it develop FMC business and provide customers with differentiated services. However, Japan’s NTT West conducted a FMC commercial trial in April 2005, failing in a year and a half. June 2, 2008, NTT Group launched the FMC business, try again for the business. This shows that although FMC business is recognized by the industry, but the success of the integration, the key is whether the market can accept it. As the world’s largest CDMA operator and the largest fixed-line operator in China, China Telecom should be cautious in promoting FMC services.
