启功,字元白,满族人。原姓爱新觉罗,1912年7月出生于北京。幼年丧父,过着清苦生活,未能读完中学,全靠自学成才。他年少时,力读经史辞章,并擅长绘画,后又发奋学书。他在大学执教已整整六十年,是北京师范大学教授、博士生导师,是饮誉中外的我国古典文学家、文物鉴赏家、教育家、画家和书法家,是全国政协常委。启功先生是中国书法家协会主席,是当代 Qigong, white characters, Manchus.
