This paper describes and sweeps the signal and noise of thermal imaging systems. The analytical model used is based on approximating the system as a linear system and includes observers. The effects of electronic circuits on signal-to-noise ratio are discussed and the best response for sampled and non-sampled and swept thermal imaging systems is calculated.
