With the approval of the State Economic and Trade Commission and the approval of the State Cocoon and Silk Coordinating Leading Group, the “peak-shaping reservoir” that is used exclusively to stabilize the price of the silk market has been set up and put into operation recently in Wujiang, Jiangsu Province. China is the world’s largest exporter of silk production. Silk and silk exports account for 85% and 45% of world trade volume, respectively.
