公共美术馆改造的关键在于决策:将这座军火库的历史布局复原成围台空间中的独立场馆。并给之前的内庭院加盖屋顶,使其成为室内展览空间。为了展示原来建筑的中心空间,之前弹药库中所有的非历史隔墙都被拆除。入口上方的扁形拱得到复原,具有历史意义的木结构起吊架也得以保留。必要的设备和照明设施都被小心地整合,避免干扰各空间的“原状”特征。这些拱顶现在成为画廊空间序列的一部分。
The key to the transformation of the public art museum lies in making decisions: restoring the historical layout of this arsenal to an independent venue in the platform space. And to the previous inner courtyard stamped roof, making it an indoor exhibition space. In order to show the center of the original building, all the non-historical partitions in the ammunition depot were removed. Flat arch above the entrance to be restored, the historic wooden pylon was also retained. Necessary equipment and lighting are carefully integrated to avoid disrupting the “as is” feature of each space. These vaults are now part of the gallery’s spatial sequence.
