日立综合计划研究所十分重视开发研究电子、光通信、原子能等领域的高功能材料。新材料开发的方向是: 1.金属间化合物:重点研究电子结构的特殊性,从而得到用金属结合方法不能得到的功能,如超导材料等。 2.人工特殊结构材料:由于纯度极高,极细丝和极微粒子而产生新的功能。为此需要开发研究单晶育成技术、极限环境(超高温、超高真空、超高压等)及高纯技术的工艺。
