在中国著名的荔枝之乡广西灵山县,近日发现一棵树龄超过1400年的荔枝树,当地人骄傲地称之为“古荔王”.“古荔王”高13米,树冠直径16米,主干周径约6米,要4人才能合抱过来.“古荔王”是村中袁姓先祖栽种的,至今仍年年产果,小年可产100多公斤,大年可产500多公斤,且肉质爽脆,香甜多汁.
