Since its WTO Accession in 2001, China’s national auto industry has made remarkable progress, especially in terms of export. However, some problems still exist. Importantly, the issues of overproduction and chaotic market competition need to be addressed. In the beginning of new year, five national Ministries including the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and China Customs have jointly drafted a document to regulate the auto export market; in the same vein, the NDRC has backed a document entitled Administrative Opinions on the Auto Industry, whose purpose is to address the issue of overproduction in the domestic auto industry. What is the significance of these two documents? What is their relationship? With these questions in mind, China’s Foreign Trade interviewed Mr. Jia Xinguang, Auto Expert of China National Radio.
