In 1951, Chancet proposed the use of “dual wavelength spectrophotometry” for biochemical analysis. Later, Shibata made an in-depth study on “Dual-Wavelength Spectrophotometry” and made special reports on the principle of the method, its instrumentation and its application in inorganic and organic analysis as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis using first derivative spectroscopy.
