脉动送丝时,短路过渡频率等于送丝频率,即所谓同步送丝。只有这样,才能获得稳定的焊接过程。试验发现,以连续直流电压给送丝电机供电时,同步区间较窄,容易破坏稳定的短路过渡过程,主要表现在焊丝容易与熔池发生固体短路,随后便发生剧烈的爆断和飞溅。当送丝与短路过程同步时,其焊接电流、电弧电压及送丝速度的波形,见图1所示。
