In this paper, the author describes the principle of an instrument for circuit adjustment and junction adjustment. If the resistance of each section is made corresponding to the reciprocal of the corresponding weight and the electromo- tive force applied to each circuit is made equal to the corresponding error of closure, then the potential difference between the ends of any section will give the correction required.
