The IGU-2006 Brisbane Conference was convened on 3-7 July 2006 in Queenland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. Approximately 1000 geographers from nearly 50 countries and regions participated in the IGU-2006 Brisbane Conference, which was sponsored by International Geographical Union (IGU), and organized by the Institute of Australian Geographers (IAG) and the New Zealand Geographical Society (NZGS).
