I gave Choruluhoff’s novel “Quiet Don” illustrations, from 1951 to 1952, for two years. I think if I wanted me to do this job now, then in many places I will deal with it in another way. However, as an illustrator, the basic tasks I gave myself at the time were still important to me today.
