为了探索水田种植大、小麦的高产途径,我们针对晚稻田种麦季节紧、秋雨多、田难整、质量差的突出矛盾,进行了大、小麦水整湿播试验。1975年全所水整湿播大、小麦23.14亩,平均亩产524.5斤,其中早熟3号大麦2.84亩,亩产达700.8斤。1977年27.7亩水整湿播大、小麦,在渍害严重的情况下,平均单产449斤,比早播的增产11.6%。事实表明:水整湿播是双季晚稻田在不利气候条件下种植大、小麦夺高产的有效途径。大、小麦在发芽出苗期对氧气和水分反应特别敏感,气和水是这一时期的主要矛盾。“麦困干窝”(麦子播在干土上),虽能满足气,但往往因水分不足,造成出苗迟,出苗率低,“湿耕烂种”(烂泥下播种),又因为烂泥盖籽,水多气少,烂种缺苗,造成产量低。而水整湿播解决了水、气矛盾,满足了水、气的要求。从表面上看,水整地水是多了点,但通过粗整、开沟、排水晒田等措施,使水由上到下,滤流通畅,由多到少,由厢面有明水到厢面湿润,适宜大、小麦发芽生长。麦子是须根作物,发芽出苗时根系主要分布在土壤表层,表层水分适宜,有利扎根出苗。因此,“水整
