ShoutMovers
I'm one of those people who try to see the positive in others. But myphilosophy was sorely tested recently when I was on a crowded train andfound myself next to a businessman who talked loudly on his cell phonefor two hours straight.Didn't he notice that we could hear every word hesaid, that most of these words were totally unnecessary and that some of hisneighbors were trying to work? The next day,at an airport,I was waiting formy flight when I noticed another businessman walking back and forth fromone end of the gate to the other, talking at full volume into his phone.Fourvery banal-sounding phone calls later,I was having visions of beating him todeath with his Nokia. Why didn't the man just sit down, that people couldfind seats as far away from him as possible? Right after our flight landed andwe crowded into the airport bus, another businessman next to me pulled outhis cell phone and shouted into it about something completely unimportantuntil we arrived at the terminal. Why on earth couldn't he wait six minutesuntil he had more privacy? As my aggression levels got into the red zone,Itried to tell myself that there must be a good reason for this behavior.Thatnight, after several pina coladas,it finally came to me: it wasn't their fault.
