The establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area has a very significant impact on the Chinese economy and is also a historic step in the process of cooperation between China and ASEAN. It mainly reflects the good wishes of the leaders of both sides for enhancing good-neighborly friendship and embodies the ever-deepening economic ties between China and ASEAN. It is a new milestone in the development of the relations between China and ASEAN.
