一、问题的提出长期以来,我国高校英语专业基础阶段的教学没有统一的要求,各门课程教学质量的检查没有统一的标准。1989年,国家教委颁布了《高等学校英语专业基础阶段英语教学大纲》(以下简称《大纲》),提出了全面的教学任务和目的,并对教学内容和教学要求作了具体的规定。然而,不少院校在贯彻实施中,仍存在不少问题,主要现象有:各门课程教师各自为政,以教材为本,凭借自己的经验开展教学,致使《大纲》规定的教学内容有的重复过多,有的无人问津;又如在教学
