新课程标准的观念强调我们教师要变“教教材”为用“教材教”。在传统教育观念下所编写的旧教材,过于注重知识编写,其逻辑严密、高度抽象概括、知识环环相扣,使学生感到惧怕。在教材的“指引”下教师把知识源源不断地硬塞给学生,然后通过强化训练而达到学生对基础知识的掌握,而过去历来学生数学期末考试平均分均不合格,大大打击了学生学习数学的兴趣和信心。而在新课标的观念下所编写的新教材将数学知识形成的基本过程和基本方法贯穿始终,教师善于发掘出新教材优点,转变教育观念,培养出适应时代要求的新型人材。
