戊戌变法与明治维新是中日两国近代史上重大事件，它们都是以西方为榜样．以改革为手段，以挽救民族危亡发展资本主义为目的的爱国政治运动，但其最终结局及其对两国历史的影响却大相径庭。本文分析比较了戊戌变法与明治维新的异同，着重探讨了它们的主要区别，以期加深人们对两国历史的认识，引出必要的经验教训。
The Reform Movement of 1898 and Meiji Reform are two major events in the modern history of China and Japan, all of them taking the example of the West. The reform paves the way for the rescue of the national crisis and the development of capitalism for the purpose of the patriotic political movement, but its final outcome and its impact on the history of the two countries are very different. This article analyzes and compares the similarities and differences between the Reform Movement of 1898 and the Meiji Reform, focusing on their main differences, with a view to deepen people’s understanding of the history of the two countries and draw the necessary experience and lessons.
