The new faceted design was published by De Beers in 1992 in the United States Diamond Campaign and was introduced to the Japanese market in 1993. These four types of cut collectively referred to as “Royal Cut family” that noble cut type series, respectively named TheDuchess Cut, The Empress Cut, The Baroness Cut and The Grace Cut. As shown, the characteristics of these new cut models are: 1, new forms, 2, crown large, 3, sharp symmetry.
