下颌关节炎较多见,中、青、老年皆可患此病,主要表现为耳前区深部疼痛,说话、吃饭、开闭口、嚼硬物时皆可使疼痛加重。部分病人大张口时可出现弹响声。检查时下颌髁状突处有明显压痛,局部有时轻度肿胀,让病人大张口、闭口时部分病人出现弹响声,既往对此病常用局部热敷,理疗,按摩,止痛药或抗菌素等治疗,疗效皆不能令人满意,对较顽固的严重病例,常采用手术切除关节盘或髁状突,手术较复杂,有时损伤面神经分支。七年来我们采用关节腔内注射疗法,感到方法简单,操作容易,可收到立杆见影效果。
